Computer grade ventilation
Thermal management of densely
packed equipment is a must for ensuring availability of mission
critical networks. Vented doors and roof ensure adequate cooling.
NetShelter Premium Enclosures provide the front-to-back airflow
required by today's rackmountable servers. Choose AR1000A or
AR1001A for glass front door, 140 sq. in. of ventilation. Choose
AR1000HD or AR1001HD for fully vented front door, 516 sq. in.
of ventilation.
Lockable doors and side panels
Doors and side panels are
both accessible with a single key. |
| Remote management capabilities |
Optional door switches combined
with an APC MeasureUPS, APC
Smart-UPS, and APC software products permit cabinet access
monitoring for remote locations or during non-business hours.
Flexibility
Adjustable framework
Providing a true heterogeneous
environment is a crucial feature to consider when choosing an
enclosure. If, for example, now or at some point in the future,
servers from different manufacturers will be used it is important
that an enclosure which offers the most mounting flexibility is
chosen. Both the rear and front vertical rails can be repositioned
to mount equipment of various depths. This flexibility allows
for compatibility with server and networking equipment from most
manufacturers.
| Server Compatibility |
When installing mission critical
servers, APC realizes the importance of ensuring a proper fit.
APC is committed to ensuring major servers are compatible with
NetShelter. Refer to the Server
Compatibility Chart for details on specific models.
| Removable/Reversible doors |
In situations where it is
desirable for the front and/or rear door to open from the opposite
side, doors can be easily detached and reversed.
Detachable stabilization
Stabilizing feet prevent
accidents that can occur when heavy slide-mounted components
are extended
from the enclosure. The stabilizing feet are pre-installed on
the 42U and include adjustable leveling feet that are lowered
for permanent enclosure positioning. The feet are detachable
to allow for situations where floor space is more critical
and use
of alternative stabilization options are needed.
Front Stabilizing Plate
Front detachable stabilizing
plates prevent accidents that can occur when heavy slide-mounted
components are extended from the enclosure. A detachable stabilizing
plate is pre-installed on each 22U enclosure.

Rolls thru 7' doors
Premium Enclosures will roll
through a standard 7' office door, saving installation time and
effort. Each enclosure ships with four heavy duty casters for
easy mobility over most surfaces.
Quick release side panels
During installation and while
conducting routine maintenance of installed equipment, it is often
advantageous to remove the side-panels and/or doors. Quick release
side panels allow for easy access.
Quick release Doors
Front and rear doors can be
attached or removed easily by disengaging two quick-release, spring-loaded,
hinge pins.
| Simple baying capabilities |
When your capacity needs exceed
one enclosure, you can easily create a bay of connected Premium
Enclosures in minutes. When a bay of enclosures is desired, only
one AR1000A/AR1000HD (includes side panels) is needed. Every enclosure
to follow can be an AR1001A/AR1001HD.
180 Degree Doors
Both the front and rear doors
open a full 180 degrees allowing technicians to service or install
equipment, even at awkward angles, without having to remove the
doors.

New Mounting Hardware
60 sets Combination Slot/Phillips
head mounting screws, cagenuts, and washers are provided for easy

Cable Management
Roof Cable Access
The 42U Premium Enclosure
roof offers two 4" (102mm) cable access holes. This provides
ideal overhead cable access for network administrators. The roof
ships standard with preinstalled protective caps in the event
that overhead cable access is not required.
The 22U Premium Enclosure
roof is designed for mounting a monitor, keyboard and mouse configuration
on top of the enclosure saving valuable rack mount space. A 2.25"
(57mm) cable pass-through hole is provided for easily connecting
cables to rack mount equipment.
| Base cable access |
Each NetShelter Premium Enclosure
ships with an adjustable bottom cable access plate. The plate
keeps heat and foreign objects from entering through the bottom
of the enclosure. By adjusting the plate, up to 14.75" x
24" (375 mm x 610 mm) of cable access can be obtained.
| Adjustable cross members |
Horizontal cross members can
be easily repositioned to provide the ability to run and tie wrap
cables more effectively. Additional cross members are sold separately
if needed.
Improved Cable Access
New "Barbell" cable access
holes in the structural posts allow network cables and standard
power cords with NEMA 5-15P connectors to be neatly routed and
stored.
Stability
| New Weight Capacity |
A new Frame design, thicker
gauge mounting rails and heavy duty casters increase the static
load rating to 2000 lbs. (909 kg) and the dynamic load rating
to 1250 lbs. (568 kg).
New Shipping Pallet
