| Convenience outlet |
A convenience outlet
located on the right side panel provides easy desktop access
to power. Laptop users benefit from the "always"
on outlet which keeps your battery charged even while the
main system is not in use. This outlet is also convenient
for plugging in desktop lamps, calculators, speakers, and
more.

| Cord management |
Power cord clutter is
eliminated by internally storing cords neatly and safely
out of your way.
|
 |
| Front panel customization |
For ease of identification,
you can customize PowerManager's switch buttons to show
specific or personalized system equipment names.

 |
| Site-Wiring-Fault indicator and Protection
Working indicator |
In order to work properly,
surge suppressors require a correctly wired and grounded
outlet. PowerManager identifies dangerous wiring problems
before you plug in your equipment. Plus, PowerManager will
warn you if its circuitry has been damaged and is unable
to provide 100% protection. APC will then replace your damaged
PowerManager under its lifetime warranty.

| Lowest IEEE 587 Category A Let-through and
UL 1449 330V |
IEEE tests simulate
severe surge events common to the home and office environment.
PowerManager provides the lowest let-through voltages for
maximum protection. Moreover, PowerManager's 330V rating
is UL's best available rating against devastating surges
and spikes. PowerManager has received UL’s 330V rating.

 |
| Noise filtering stops glitches |
PowerManager attenuates
EMI/RFI line noise that can cause data errors and keyboard
lockups.

 |
| Catastrophic event protection for safety
|
PowerManager is equipped
with a fast acting fuse that reacts quickly to lightning
strikes and other catastrophic surge events. In addition,
a thermal fuse shuts your system down in the event of a
dangerous wiring fault. In both cases, PowerManager actually
blocks errant power from reaching your equipment if the
surge components are damaged.
NOTE: Unlike PowerManager, most surge suppressors
continue to let power through even after circuits have been
damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to other damaging
surges!
