| Building/Site-Wiring-Fault Indicator and
Protection Working Indicator |
In order to work properly,
surge suppressors require a correctly wired and grounded
outlet. SurgeArrest identifies dangerous wiring problems
before you plug in your equipment. Plus, SurgeArrest will
warn you if its circuitry has been damaged and is unable
to provide 100% protection. If still under warranty, APC
will then replace your damaged SurgeArrest free of charge.

| Lowest IEEE 587 Category A Let-through and
UL 1449 330V |
IEEE tests simulate
severe surge events common to the home and office environment.
SurgeArrest provides the lowest let-through voltages for
maximum protection. Moreover, SurgeArrest’s 330V rating
is UL’s best available rating against devastating surges
and spikes. All SurgeArrest products have received UL’s
330V rating.

| Noise filtering stops glitches |
SurgeArrest attenuates
EMI/RFI line noise that can cause data errors and keyboard
lockups.

 |
| Catastrophic event protection for safety
|
SurgeArrest is equipped
with a fast acting fuse that reacts quickly to lightning
strikes and other catastrophic surge events. In addition,
a thermal fuse shuts your system down in the event of a
dangerous wiring fault. In both cases, SurgeArrest actually
blocks errant power from reaching your equipment if the
surge components are damaged.
NOTE: Unlike SurgeArrest, most surge suppressors
continue to let power through even after circuits have been
damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to other damaging
surges!
