The AXIS 570/670 MIO is
a print server that plugs directly into HP printers. It is designed
for larger corporations which require efficient IBM SNA printing
over the LAN through full non-IPDS mainframe and AS/400 support.
Migration is no longer a problem. Its native SNA support enables
direct printing to HP printers without application changes or
conversion software. In addition, it has all the functionality
of Axis’ LAN print servers simultaneously, including advanced
TCP/IP support and user-friendly installation software. |

Through direct SNA PU2.0
with LU1 (SCS), LU3 (3270 data stream) or T2.1 with LU6.2 and
multiprotocol support, AXIS 570/670 MIO provides a solution
for sharing printers across IBM and LAN systems. |
| Straight-forward
|
Emulation of an IBM 3174
or 5494 control unit means full replacement of such unit enabling
trouble-free migration to LAN printing, with no need to install
additional software or use unfamiliar procedures. |
| Easy to use |
Basic configuration can
be set via the printer's front panel. Full installation/ configuration/monitoring
is made easy through the AXIS NetPilotTM program
which guides the user through the installation with a “Wizard”. |

A built-in WWW server enables
platform independent configuration as well as monitoring of
printer status via standard Web browsers. |
| Fast Printing |
High throughput enabled
by a 32-bit RISC processor, ETRAX, specifically designed for
LAN products, generates significantly faster throughput than
connecting your printer to a PC or using IBM host-based conversion
programs. |

The flash memory can be centrally upgraded
over the network with new print server software from the Upgrade
Wizard in NetPilotTM or FTP. |
