Best
Power CheckUPS II Suite is a comprehensive collection
of power management and shutdown software (with connecting
cable) for use with all Best Power single-phase uninterruptible
power systems (UPSs). CheckUPS II Suite provides enhanced
capabilities for UPS monitoring and unattended system
shutdown for most popular operating systems, including
DOS, Windows v3.1x, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT,
OS/2, Novell/ Windows v3.1x, Novell/DOS, and many versions
of UNIX.

II Basic
CheckUPS
II Suite Basic software works with Best Power Patriot
UPSs, and is available as an option with this model line.
CheckUPS II Basic provides simple power monitoring and
orderly, unattended operating system shutdown in the event
of an extended power failure. Once the system is shut
down, CheckUPS shuts down the UPS to conserve battery
power. CheckUPS II Basic communicates with the UPS via
simple but effective contact (switch) closure monitoring.
The first contact indicates “On Inverter Alarm/AC
Normal”, while the second contact indicates “Low
Battery Alarm/Low Battery Alarm Cleared”. These events
trigger shutdown timers which initiate an orderly, unattended
shutdown of the O/S and (optionally) the UPS.
CheckUPS II Advanced
CheckUPS
II Suite Advanced software works with Best Power Patriot
Pro II, Fortress, Best 610, Axxium™ Rackmount, FERRUPS
and UNITY/I Single-Phase UPSs. CheckUPS II Advanced uses
an RS-232 serial link to communicate with the UPS. In
addition to the standard power events monitored by CheckUPS
II Basic, CheckUPS II Advanced software accesses valuable
information within the UPS regarding UPS operating conditions
and AC power status. User-configurable events allow full
control of an orderly, unattended shutdown of the operating
system and the UPS (if required).
CheckUPS
II Interface Cable Kits
Some computers already include UPS monitoring and shutdown
software. To enable this capability for these computers,
all you need is an interface cable between your UPS and
the computer. A Best Power interface cable kit includes
the necessary cable, adapters, and instructions for quick,
easy installation between your UPS and computer system.

User Control

CheckUPS II Suite furnishes system administrators
and computer users with a complete record of critical
power events and UPS activity on an event log. This
tool helps them spot, diagnose and react more effectively
to problems as they happen. CheckUPS II Suite includes
on-line manuals with easy-to-follow installation instructions
in either Adobe Acrobat or ASCII formats. |
