As a hardware solution, Key-View operates externally to your AutoBoot Commander 4xP/1xP and attached PCs. There are no limitations on the type of operating system or applications run on the PCs, as long as a standard VGA mode is in use. There are no drivers to install or configuration files to alter. Just connect the Key-View unit to the4xP/1xP using the cables provided, and attach an external modem. A short program runs on each attached PC trains Key-View to recognize the video output being sent.

Check the status of a job in progress, change the CMOS setup or reboot the computer through Key-View. You can even cold-boot any attached PC from your remote location! Key-View has built-in support for both text and VGA graphics viewing modes.

Whatever kind of application you are running, Key-View displays a monochrome copy of the video on your remote monitor. Because Key-View connects to the 4xP/1xP through the serial port, you can also upload or download files to any attached PC. Transfer files or even upgrade the software on any computer from your remote location. Key-View also includes encrypted password protection.
