SECURITY IS MAINTAINED
Being
able to visually see the customer's screen with SupportNow
software poses no security threat. End-users and support
teams can work from behind their respective firewalls
or proxy servers. There is no need to open either organizations
inbound firewall ports or change network firewall policies
so the integrity of the security is maintained.
SupportNow
is friendly to user and support center firewalls and
offers additional layers of security. The SupportNow
Server resides on the support center's DMZ, protecting
against unauthorized access and shielding the trusted
network from common risks. Policy-based authenticated
access management provides flexible enforcement of the
support centers policies. This includes allowing
and denying SupportNow Server access based on the source
IP address. The SupportNow Server automatically self-configures
to work with SOCKS proxy servers on the support network.
PRIVACY IS CONTROLLED BY THE CUSTOMER
SupportNow
offers complete privacy for your customers. The customer
dictates whether the support representative can view
only the application in question or the entire desktop.
The customer can switch the access rights of the support
representative from View-Only to Full-Access and vice
versa, at any time during the support call. To regain
control, the customer just moves their mouse and it
will automatically lock the support person out. The
support representative can still see what the user is
doing and make suggestions.
