NFS
Network File
System (NFS) is a standard protocol for sharing files between multi-vendor
operating systems, including UNIX, IBM mainframe, AS/400, VMS, and
OS/2 platforms. NetManage was one of the first vendors to bring
NFS file sharing to the Windows environment. With Chameleon UNIX®
Link you get a complete NFS solution.
NFS Client
& Server
Tired of waiting on your
NFS client? Chameleon UNIX® Link provides fast Windows NFS access.
It lets you instantaneously share files and directories with any
other NFS system, whether UNIX, IBM, DEC, or another PC. Use our
NFS client on your system to quickly access and use resources on
NFS servers anywhere on the network. File access is transparent,
UNIX resident information and connected devices appear as if they
were located directly on your desktop.
Get
the new NFS
We've rewritten our NFS clients
from the ground up. We've made them as much as 350% faster than
our previous NFS clients by optimizing them for Windows 95 and NT
desktops. We've also added features like long filenames for more
descriptive naming, better file handling capabilities including
UNC file access, faster volume access through driveless and on-the-fly
mounts, directory and lookup caching, and more.
Get NFS
the way you want it
NetManage's NFS allows you
to execute programs over the network or run applications locally
while transparently storing data on a network server. Implemented
as a VxD, the NetManage NFS client can run over the NetManage or
Microsoft TCP/IP protocol stack. It supports an unlimited number
of network drives.
Access remote
drives with point-and-click ease
Chameleon UNIX® Link integrates
its NFS functions into the Windows File Manager or Explorer. Access
to a remote drive is as simple as pointing at an icon in Network
Neighborhood and clicking. Remote systems appear as directories
and files in File Manager or the Explorer. You can even transfer
files between two remote systems from your PC.
Use NFS
you can trust
NetManage developed the industry's
first NFS client and server for Windows. The NFS client and server
in Chameleon UNIX® Link keep us in the lead. They give you great
performance, maximum flexibility, ease of use, integration with
your desktop, and, most importantly, great value.
