ViewNow, Windows Edition, is the first line of connectivity solutions in the eN2000 framework. It offers Enterprise-Wide desktop connectivity, centralized management and real-time support. ViewNow, Windows Edition provides a single, integrated point to connect Windows desktops to UNIX and IBM AS/400 and mainframe host data. As with all eN2000 solutions, ViewNow, Windows Edition features centralized management and real-time support.

ViewNow, Windows Edition offers a modular set of 14 desktop connectivity products. Customers may either buy the entire suite or pick and choose only the functional units needed. Because all components share the centralized management and real-time support of eN2000, any combination of solutions from this suite or future ViewNow products will plug into one framework for ease of administration and support.

ViewNow, Windows Edition allows customers to choose the desktop solutions they need right now, and to have the assurance that all of their future NetManage connectivity solutions will integrate seamlessly into the eN2000 framework. This will be especially valuable as more and more companies transition to the newest web access solutions.

Products in the eN2000 line offer centralized, user-based management, allowing administrators to keep one source of access and permissions for users and groups of users, regardless of their computing device, connectivity platform or geographic location. Because eN2000 products are enabled with Windows Policies, administrators control user access not only to applications, but also to menu items within applications.

Users see only the connections available to them through the desktop ViewNow Host Access Manager, their central point of access for all host needs. Through the Host Access Manager, users connect to emulators which share a common, intuitive interface, making the connectivity solutions easy to use and learn.

Centralized, user-based management not only simplifies administration of corporate networks, but also enables e-business: companies can safely and securely extend selected portions of their host data to business partners, customers or customers of customers.

All eN2000 client software features NetManage's patented embedded SupportNow™ capability, which allows real-time, interactive support for ViewNow products across Internet or intranet connections. In conjunction with the separately available SupportNow Server for eN2000, customers can dramatically reducing the time and cost of diagnosing and solving problems. As with all eN2000 solutions, NetManage is also using SupportNow technology to offer direct real-time support to its ViewNow customers through eN2000 maintenance and support agreements.
