X OnNet is a 32-bit PC X Server that enables   Windows users to harness the computing power of UNIX. With X OnNet, PC users can view memory-intensive, graphics-rich applications on their desktops, while taking advantage of the processing power of the UNIX system where the application resides. From the user's perspective, an application appears to be running locally on the PC, when processing is actually taking place on the UNIX system. Web integration eliminates individual desktop configuration and enables browser-based access to X applications.
