DS880 Dual-Speed Stackable Hubs

Description

The Magnum DS880 Stackable Hubs provide eight RJ-45 ports per hub--each port speed-sensing for 100 or 10Mb. Essentially providing two hubs in one, the DS880 enables small- to medium-sized networks to mix 100Mb ports for high-bandwidth applications with economical 10Mb ports. The DS880 stacks of up to 4 units for a maximum of 32 Ethernet ports--each 10/100 dual speed.

New network chip technology enables the Magnum DS880 Dual Speed Hubs to identify and accept either 100Mb or 10Mb signals on a per-port basis. Each port auto-senses and can change from 10Mb to 100Mb at any time without affecting other ports.

GarrettCom has developed a 48 Volt DC option that is available for the Magnum DS880-A and DS880-B. This is a solution already widely applied in the telecommunications industry and will allow a firm to maintain operations in the event of a power failure. A 48VDC dual-source option is also available. Magnum DS880 Dual-Speed Stackable Hubs (Models: DS880-A-NEBS & DS880-B-NEBS) have also been tested and are NEBS Level 3 Certified.
