The Byte Magazine 1997 Networking Hardware Product of the Year -- Magnum 600ES Personal Hub Plus -- provides five shared Fast Ethernet ports in a convenient office-sized package, plus a switched 10/100Mb port for interconnection into another network domain. Typical applications include connecting the multiple systems of power users running at 100Mb speed into an existing 10Mb network, or providing for combinations of 100Mb ports and 10Mb ports in a networked office or lab or demonstration site. The 600ES also extends a "maxed out" 100Mb network segment to add user ports beyond the normal collision domain limits.

The Magnum 600ES comes with a durable metal enclosure, table-top or wall mounting, and has an internal auto-ranging 20-watt power supply.
