Simple to Install and Manage For administrators, N-PLEX Office is easy to install and manage using a single graphical interface called the ISOCOR Management Center. The Management Center provides built-in security features that include access control, multi-level passwords, and enhanced facilities for message tracking, event logging and performance monitoring. N-PLEX Office also provides extensive capabilities for managing system resources and telecommunications costs, including establishing disk quotas for individual user mailboxes, setting limits on message sizes, and configuring dial-up access times. For example, an administrator can designate that large messages be sent after hours when telecommunications costs are generally reduced. For additional management of system resources, N-PLEX Office can be configured to filter incoming SMTP messages, limiting access by IP address to provide application gateway firewall functionalities. To further enhance overall system integrity, server-based virus scanning is offered as a product option to prevent the spread of viruses. To enhance the ability of N-PLEX Office to integrate into existing environments where proprietary MAPI-based mail clients may be in use, PLEXLINK™ POP3 Provider, a POP3 MAPI service provider, is included. This allows clients such as Exchange, Outlook™, cc:Mail&REG, and GroupWise™ to be integrated as POP3 clients for N-PLEX Office.
