Full
Function Dial-out
The Perle
833 has the best dial-out features in the industry, supporting
a wide variety of platforms and providing sophisticated features
which enable LAN-based users to send faxes or dial-out to
the Internet or other on-line services.The Perle 833 dial-out
offers superior dial-out modem pooling functionality which
brings auto-queuing and auto-dial features to the LAN based
user. Auto-queuing notifies the LAN based user when a modem
becomes free in the dial-out pool. Auto-dial allows administrators
to pre-define dial-out phone numbers in the server simplifying
the set-up of dial-out users. Perle 833 servers can also be
grouped into a single dial-out pool, simplifying the set-up
and installation for dial-out users.
Windows ®
98, 95 and Windows ® NT4 dial-out users have the added benefit
of single node LAN to LAN communication. Using Windows ® 98,
95 or Windows ® NT4 Dial-up Networking, LAN attached users
can dial-out from their IPX/IP based LAN work-station to a
remote TCP/IP based LAN or corporate intranet. This enables
individual users to access different LANs simultaneously
from the same server.
The Perle
833 can connect to commonly available asynchronous modems
and ISDN terminal adapters. Each port can handle a sustained
data transfer rate of up to 115 kbps. When combined with the
Perle 833s high speed 32-bit RISC processor, this gives
users unparalleled dial-up response time and performance.
