RightFAX Docs on Demand is a fax server-based document retrieval system combining two "on demand" systems—Fax on Demand and Web Fax on Demand. Docs on Demand allows individuals to either call in and request fax documents via a touch tone telephone or request a fax document from a Web site.

Fax on Demand:

• Open Access—Fax on Demand is a touch-tone-based retrieval system that automates document fulfillment to the outside world. Callers don’t need a password or a RightFAX account.
• Uses RightFAX v6.0’s Enhanced Library Documents to ensure consistency of documents across your organization and to minimize the space required to store them.

Enhanced Library Documents let you decide where the document will be accessible, and for how long. You can make documents accessible on your LAN, your Docs on Demand FOD system and your Web site. You can also set activation and expiration dates for each document, giving you more control over document faxing.

• Customizable Central Library Document Lists allow you to control each document’s access method and availability dates, by setting an activation and expiration date.
• Real-time usage statistics let you track which documents callers are requesting the most.
• Money Saving Control Features—you can control the costs of sending out long faxes by limiting the number of documents per call. Administrators can set parameters to either one call or two call, or let callers choose.
• Hook Flash Transfer allows the customer to connect to an operator or voice mail after requesting the documents.
• Remote Administration—Fax on Demand can be accessed, configured, and managed remotely.

The RightFAX Docs on Demand module configuration lets you set the call type, set the maximum number of documents per call and customize your cover sheets.

• No Need for Extra Hardware—Because Fax on Demand uses the Universal Port capability of Brooktrout TR114 fax boards, you can use an existing phone line on the fax server for this function. If you use DID, DNIS, or ISDN, then any fax channel can handle Fax on Demand calls.
• Automatic Line/Channel Switching—A RightFAX server can automatically switch lines and channels to provide the most called upon capabilities at various times during the day.

Web Faxing on Demand

Web Fax Tools—A set of three sample CGI scripts that let you fax-enable your Web site:

• You can have your Web pages faxed to customers automatically.
• You can list documents in a library and allow online viewers to select specific documents.
• You can send an e-mail message through RightFAX E-mail Gateway (purchased separately) to someone requesting a fax, notifying him or her whether delivery was successful.
• Uses the same Enhanced Library Documents as Fax on Demand and the RightFAX LAN library—ensuring all your documents are the same across the organization.
• Maintains the format of the documents, which may be lost if a web document is simply printed rather than faxed.
• Only from RightFAX—This combined solution, uniting two on-demand systems, is only available from RightFAX.
