v6.0 Features:
RightFAX Reporter
This reporting tool lets you save time creating reports while
tracking and managing resources effectively. RightFAX Reporter
also lets you monitor channel usage and charges by department
or user for billing purposes.

RightFAX Reporter lets you check
fax volume and run reports on user volume, either daily, weekly
or monthly. Report types include: billing reports, destination
reports, usage reports, unhandled fax reports and outbound fax
reports.

RightFAX Reporter generates a graph
of the top 10 outbound network fax users. It also lists this
information in a table below.

Monitor channel usage through RightFAX
Reporter. Channel usage reports help you see when your utilization
rate is high and when it is time to add additional channels
to your fax server.
Enhanced Library Documents
RightFAX is the only fax server that can publish a document
to your LAN, web site or FOD system from a single file. You
will save time and resources by having to maintain only a single
file location, and youll maintain consistency of your
documents across the entire organization.

Enhanced Library Documents let you
decide where the document will be accessible, and for how long.
You can make documents accessible on your LAN, your Docs on
Demand FOD system and Web site. You can also set activation
and expiration dates for each document, giving you more control
over document faxing.
Advanced Management Tool
Kit
This set of administrative control
options includes several time-saving tools for administrators:
- Auto-Aging of Faxes for Groups:
Allows you to set document delete options and filter by type
of faxes. This feature saves space on the server, but maintains
a database record so you can still run reports. The group
selection allows you to customize the deletion of faxes depending
on the individual departments needs.

Automatic fax aging for groups
lets you customize when documents will be deleted according
to each individual
groups needs. Different types of faxes, i.e. received
or sent, can be set to be deleted at different intervals. Fax
images older than the age limit will automatically be deleted
from the Main and Trash folders.
- ModUser GUI: This RightFAX feature
combines the IMPUSER and CHGUSER functions into an easy to
use, streamlined administrative tool. You can make global
changes at the click of a
button.

The new ModUser utility lets administrators
make global changes to large groups of users quickly and easily.
ModUser also makes it simple to import large numbers of users
from any large NT domain or a comma-delimited database.
- Built-in Maintenance and Backup:
The RightFAX server will now automatically back up. This allows
the server to run seven days a week, 24 hours a day, eliminating
the need to shut down the server. RightFAX synchronizes the
data set to ensure integrity of the back up.
Improved Native Document
Attachments
RightFAX has improved its already powerful native document
conversion to include PowerPoint 97 and landscape conversion.
The native document conversion lets you attach documents in
their native file formats via the RightFAX Web Client, RightFAX
E-mail Gateway and embedded codes. Both user training and application
integration are simplified by RightFAXs ability to convert
native document attachments.
Intelligent Least Cost Routing
(LCR)
Faxes are routed to alternate servers
via WAN or the Internet to ensure the fax is sent by the best
route, saving money and time, and sharing workloads. The RightFAX
LCR feature has many components, listed below, that make it
reliable and flexible.
- Advanced Dialing Plan
The sophisticated RightFAX dialing plan ensures that
a fax is successfully sent via the best method, using four
different levels of dial string matching: number pattern,
priority, time and day, restrictions and server availability.
- Redundancy
Fault Tolerant fax system. RightFAX detects WAN link
failure immediately. It eliminates downed server(s) from routing
path and sends via the best available method to ensure fax
delivery.
- Priority Sensitivity
RightFAX allows the system administrator to specify
that certain priorities of faxes be routed via specific servers.
For example, high priority faxes can be assigned to go via
the local server for immediate delivery, without going through
the LCR system.
- Cascading Routes
Multiple servers can reroute to each other using all
possible routing combinations. However, all potential routing
possibilities do not have to be defined at each server. This
saves time by facilitating administrative setup.
- Central Management
This streamlines multiple-site management with one
interface and allows changes and monitoring without interrupting
service. Management can be done from any Windows 95 or Windows
NT workstation on the network.
- Route Tracing
RightFAX provides sophisticated diagnostic tools for
LCR features. Tools show dialing rules used, weight given
to each, current server loads, each server a fax passes through
and much more. Invaluable for building and maintaining dialing
rules.
- Encryption
Since RightFAX allows LCR using the Internet, it also
includes encryption to keep fax traffic private. RightFAX
uses a 40-bit encryption key, so performance is maintained
and the software is exportable outside the United States.
- Load Balancing
RightFAX load balancing maximizes your system performance.
When multiple dialing rules match a phone number with equal
weight, RightFAX directs the fax to the server with the most
available lines. If multiple servers have all outbound fax
lines in use, the fax will be directed to the server that
has the next free line.
RightFAX Interconnect
The RightFAX Interconnect routing
option lets multiple fax servers work together to distribute
the volume of received faxes. Users on both servers can receive
and route inbound faxes from either server.
Smart-Fax Distribution
This feature distributes faxes systematically
to groups of users for faster and more efficient processing.
Distribution can be Linear (with faxes distributed in round-robin
fashion) or Balanced (faxes distributed according to user processing
rates).
Automatic Fax Distribution
This feature distributes faxes systematically
to groups of users for faster and more efficient processing.
Distribution can be Linear (with faxes distributed in round-robin
fashion) or Balanced (faxes distributed according to user processing
rates).
Fax Authorization System
This provides a method for management
review of critical or sensitive faxes prior to their release
by department members. Faxes can be sent to a group administrators
queue for approval; reasons for approval or disapproval may
be entered and stored with the fax.
CSID Routing
CSID inbound fax routing is based
on the caller subscriber ID of the sending fax machine. For
example, if one person at your business handles the account
for Company XYZ and every fax that comes in from that company
goes that one person, you can create a routing table specifying
that faxes received from a fax device called XYZ should always
be routed to employee A.
Forced Scheduling
RightFAX allows you to control fax
traffic volumes on a group-wide basis. Using this feature, you
can restrict the number of pages or total number of faxes being
sent simultaneously by a user within a specific time period.
Secure Transmission
You can specify the remote fax ID
of the intended recipient's fax device when sending a fax. This
feature was designed to ensure security for confidential faxes.
Tray Icon
The RightFAX Tray Icon lets Windows
95/98 and Windows NT users launch FaxUtil and EFM, and use the
QuickFax option with a click of the mouse. The pop-up Print-To-Fax
driver is also available from the Tray Icon and eliminates the
need to change printers from a pull-down menu.
Quick Fax/Broadcast
With the QuickFax option you can
send cover sheets and library documents without having to enter
FaxUtil. This is a great feature for broadcasting, as you can
launch the broadcast from your Phonebooks with the click of
a button.
ODBC and MAPI Phonebooks
RightFAX supports open phonebook
sharing on ODBC and MAPI compliant database sources for Windows
95/98 and Windows NT clients. You no longer have to maintain
multiple phonebooks.
MAPI and VIM Print-to-Fax Drivers
Mail fax drivers let users fax via
e-mail interface as if they were sending an e-mail. Eliminates
need to train users on RightFAX software. Supports Microsoft
Mail, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and Lotus cc:Mail.
Administrative Mode
Full administrators and group administrators
can switch on an administrative mode in FaxUtil. Full administrators
have full access to all users boxes; group and alternate
administrators have access to users within their group only.
Integrated with 'Send To'
Menu
You can send TIFF, Word, Excel, and
more documents right from your desktop. This feature allows
you to build your own private document libraries for faxing.
It also fully integrates with all Phonebooks.
Client Options: FaxUtil

The RightFAX mailbox, FaxUtil, lets
you check the status of your faxes and view them from your desktop.
You can also forward, route, print, OCR and do many other things
from within FaxUtil.
Included module: RightFAX Docs on
Demand
RightFAX Docs on Demand is a fax
server-based document retrieval system combining two "on
demand" systemsFax on Demand and Web Fax on Demand.
Docs on Demand allows individuals to either call in and request
fax documents via a touch-tone telephone or request a fax document
from a Web site.

Included module: RightFAX TeleConnect
RightFAX TeleConnect gives you the
convenience of 24-hour access to your faxes when you are traveling
or working away from the office. You have the ability to have
either all your faxes or specific faxes forwarded to any fax
number.
