SMC's ATM Power25 ™ network card, combined with SMC's ATM Power155 ™ network cards and TigerSwitch ™ ATM switch products, provide a comprehensive workgroup solution for ATM networks and an easy migration path to legacy LANs.

This PCI card is based on unique ASICs optimized for ATM PC applications. What's more, SMC has implemented the industry's first QFC (Quantum Flow Control) solution for ABR (Available Bit Rate) service, so its performance is superior relative to other ATM vendors. QFC is the key to ATM flow control. It allows much higher band-width utilization than non-QFC ATM networks in typical PC LAN situations. In addition, support of up to 1024 Virtual Circuits (VCs) guarantees the user enough separate unique connections to handle networking needs far into the future.

The ATM Power25 card is compliant with ATM Forum specifica-tions. This ensures interoperability with products from all leading ATM network vendors. It features WinSock2 and software driver support for all major desktop network operating systems.
