The TX card supports the Auto-Negotiation standard, so it is automati-cally configured to run at the highest possible performance level (10/100 Mbps, half/full duplex). The T4* card supports auto-speed detection which automatically senses the speed of the attached device. (Note that no T4 devices operate in full-duplex mode.) Performance of these PCI-bus network cards is enhanced by incorporat-ing SimulTasking (tm) technology, SMC's unique pipelined data transfer technique, with bus-master design and very low CPU utilization.
