Depending on the model you choose, the EZ Hub 10/100 will provide either 12 or 24 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX ports, so you can connect an Ethernet or Fast Ethernet device to any port on the hub. Each port automatically senses the speed of the attached device, and not only segments traffic according to data rate, but also contains an internal switch that supports communications between the 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps segments. And, you can scale the size of your Fast Ethernet network by cascading another Class II hub to one of the front-panel ports.

Port one on both EZ Hub 10/100 models is switch-selectable; it can serve as a crossover or daisy-chain port. And, if you want to incorporate either 100BASE-FX or 100BASE-T4 media into your network, just disable port one by selecting the alternate rear-panel MII (Media Independent Interface) port and then add the appropriate transceiver.
