The Model 234 Modem Eliminator is a power stealing, in-line modem eliminator
designed to enable two asynchronous or synchronous derives to communicate
without the need for an expensive synchronous modem. This unit derives
its power from the data and control leads from the connecting Data
Terminal
Equipment (DTE). The speed and distance are dependent upon the power
supplied from the DTE interface(s).
