Adding an RS-422 interface to any system is now easy. The Model 260 Interface Converter does this for full duplex signals at data rates up to 19.2 KBPS, without requiring any AC or DC power. Unique power conversion circuits create the necessary operating voltages from the RS-232 Transmit Data signal. With only TD, RD and ground, the Model 260 provides operation over 8,000 feet of twisted pair into a load of 120 Ohms. Both DB-25 connectors, the RS-232 port and the RS-422 port are male. The RS-232 port follows conventional wiring with TD, RD and Ground on pins 2, 3 and 7. The RS-422 port follows EIA-530 wiring with Transmit Data on pins 2 and 14, and Receive Data on pins 3 and 16. Signal Ground appears on pin 7 of the RS-422 connector.
