Product Description

The Model 431 is a synchronous short haul modem that uses ISDN technology and its associated signalling techniques to allow full duplex communication on a single twisted pair. The line bit rate is 160 Kbits/sec and is independent of data rate. The digital interface bit rates are switch selectable from 2.4 to 128 KBPS. The Model 431 also allows a control signal to be sent on the RTS pin and received on the CTS pin of the interface. The user interface of the Model 431 complies with V.35 and is supplied with a DB25 connector. A six foot connecting cable, CAB 435, with a male V.35 connector is also offered as well as an adapter module, Model 15-1, that is a female V.35. The built-in diagnostics include three loopback modes, which can be initiated by switch, or the LOCAL and REMOTE modes through the digital interface.
