AFS-16
Automatic UTP Fallback Switch for Digital or
Analog Data Lines
Network disasters are impossible to predict, but can be effectively
controlled with the AFS-16 Automatic Fallback Switch. The AFS-16 monitors
activity on primary hardware lines. If line status changes, the AFS
quickly responds and re-routes data signals to a backup line. Lost
data and downtime is cut to a minimum. The AFS-16 is ideal for switching
RS232, RS422/485, Ethernet/UTP or telephone lines.

AND-1
Alarm Notification Device
The AND-1 monitors ASCII "error" or "cry-for-help" messages, and/or
hardware signal levels generated by your data equipment. When a problem
is indicated, the AND_1 can call your pager and display a message
that describes the problem. In addition to pager notification, the
AND-1 can also send an alarm report to a remote printer, or trigger
an audible alarm in your security command center

APS-4, APS-8, APS-16
High Speed Buffered Console/AUX Port Switch
The APS high speed Asynchronous Port Switch provides a convenient
means of connecting multiple RS-232 devices for on-site and dial-up
remote communications. Rapid data throughput and full modem and data
flow control make the APS the ideal data switch for today's high speed
communications applications. The APS features sixteen individually
configured ports. Each port can be assigned its own baud rate, parity,
flow control, and other communication parameters. The APS automatically
converts these parameters when dissimilar ports are communicating.
User-defined passwords protect access to restricted ports.

DB-2
RS-232 DataBooster II
The DataBooster II (DB-2) is a compact, low cost RS-232C compatible
signal booster that extends normally limited transmission distances
between devices conveniently and economically. The DB-2 provides both
signal regeneration and line conditioning.

LD
RS-232 to RS-422 Converter Line Driver
With the LD series line drivers, which convert RS232 signals to industry
standard RS422 unbalanced lines, your in-house data transmission distance
can be extended beyond the standard limitation of RS232. Using inexpensive
telephone type twisted pair wiring, you can achieve data rates in
excess of 56K and transmission distances up to 5,000 ft. In addition
to speed an distance, RS422 unbalanced lines have excellent immunity
to electrically induced noise caused by electrical interference which
could produce data errors if using standard RS232 circuits.

SG-232
Dial Back Modem Security Gateway
The Security Gateway is a firewall for dial-up phone access. It provides
a barrier against unauthorized access to any RS-232 device. It can
be used in a dial-back mode with up to 240 numbers and passwords.
These passwords are stored in battery backed memory and are secure
against tampering by jumpers. The number of tries can be controlled
so protection against "dictionary hacking" is exceptionally good.

Code Activated Port
Switches
WTI's code activated port switches allow access to multiple RS-232 or
RS-422 ports from a single PC or host computer. Our CAS series switches
are designed for a wide variety of data collection and broadcast applications.
Common CAS applications include collecting data from a series of sensors
or scales, broadcasting data to multiple display monitors, loading program
data to NC or robotics equipment, and sending print jobs to bar code or
label printers.

CAS-41A & CAS-81
4 and 8 Port Code Activated RS-232 / RS-422
Port Switches
The CAS-41A and CAS-81 Code Activated Switches are designed for data
distribution applications, where a single RS-232 device requires instantaneous,
high-speed access or transmission to multiple RS-232 peripheral devices.
Port connections are selected using simple ASCII commands sent to
the CAS using your communications software. If longer transmission
distances are required, our optional RS-422 output channels can provide
send/receive distances up to one mile.

CAS-161A
16 to 64 Port Expandable Code Activated Port
Switch
The CAS-161A Code Activated Switch is ideal for applications that
require high-speed access or transmission to up to 64 RS-232 devices.
The modular design of the CAS-161A allows the unit to easilly expand
from 16 to 64 RS- 232 ports. If additional ports are required, expansion
units are simply added to the CAS-161A master unit. The CAS-161A monitors
data received at the Master Control Port and watches for the ASCII
command sequence to select the desired port. When a port is selected,
data and flow-control signals pass between the Master port and selected
Output port. A convenient broadcast feature allows the CAS-161 to
broadcast to all 64 possible ports. If longer transmission distances
are required, our optional RS-422 output channels can provide send/receive
distances up to 5,000 feet.

Intelligent RS-232
Matrix Switches
Our RS-232 Matrix Switches provide an intelligent solution for applications
that require port to port switching or a data PBX with buffer capabilities.
 |
MDS-8 & MDS-16
8 and 16 Port Serial Matrix Switches with Buffer
Mode and Intelligent Features
MDS series data switches provide a convenient means for connecting
multiple RS-232 devices, collecting and polling data from remote sites
and multiplexing data from multiple input sources. Each MDS port can
be individually configured in one of three distinct operating modes;
Any-Port to Any-Port Mode, Buffer Mode, and Mux Mode.

CPM-6400
Eight to 64 Port Expandable Intelligent Data
Matrix Switch
The CPM-6400 matrix switch and data PBX is designed for any application
where multiple ports need connection to a variety of other RS-232
devices. The CPM-6400 allows network managers to access multiple RS-232
control ports or console ports on network hardware at remote locations.
This provides a cost-effective means for out-of-band device management
in a WAN environment. The unit is also ideal for basic RS-232 port
contention applications. Each CPM port can be individually configured;
baud rate, parity, and other parameters are automatically converted
to allow communication between dissimilar ports.

RS-232 Data Concentrators
& Data Broadcast Units
Our Data Concentrator and Data Broadcast products are designed for applications
where data from multiple sources is multiplexed to a single RS-232 port,
or data from a single source is simultanesously distributed to several
peripheral devices.
 |
SDC-61
Serial Data Concentrator
The WTI SDC-61 Serial Data Concentrator provides a convenient means
for multiplexing data from several sources, or broadcasting data to
multiple peripheral devices. The unit is software independent and
easy to configure. Typical applications include bar code or point-of-sale
input to a common host PC, data input from multiple scales or digital
sensors, or concentrating data from multiple time and attendance terminals.

DBU-41 & DBU-41A
Data Broadcast Units
WTI data broadcast units are ideal for applications that require sending
copies of data to remote display monitors, video terminals or multiple
printers. Our DBU units can also send duplicate data for fail-safe
backup or redundant storage purposes. Data sent to the DBU's master
port is filtered, the signals are boosted, and the data is sent out
all 4 or 8 terminal ports. Two different DBU models are available;
the standard DBU-41 rack mount model, and the DBU-41A stand alone
model.
