The DS Series DSR1010 dual user 16-port switch provides both digital and analog connectivity to all major server platforms and serial-based devices. The DSR2010 model contains one local port for access at the rack and one Ethernet port for IP access. Avocent's patented OSCAR on-screen GUI reporting interface provides rack level access and control.

DSView offers flexible access for IP-based server management from any location in the world. The DSR1010 works with the DSRIQ smart cable. The DSRIQ CAT 5 cabling provides connectivity from the DSR1010 to the server. With its CAT 5 design, the DSRIQ significantly reduces cable bulk in the rack and is well suited for high-density installations.

The DS management software, which consists of the DSView client, DSAuth server, DSAdmin and DSWebview, is the cornerstone of the DS series. With DSView, you can access all of your data center devices using a standard IP connection. The DSWebview feature provides secure, browser-based access to virtually any data center device via Avocent's DS Series product suite. Avocent's DSView interface provides secure Click and Connect^TM control to any connected device, using IP connections.

For added user security, Avocent's DSAuth user authentication software stores permissions, topology and per-device contact information for the DS Series. It also performs third party authentication during connection to the switch.
