The DS Series DSR1161 single user 16-port switch provides both digital and analog connectivity to PC-based servers. The DSR2161 model contains one local port for access at the rack and one Ethernet port for IP access. Avocent's patented OSCAR on-screen GUI reporting interface provides rack level access and control.

DSView Windows interface offers flexible access for IP-based server management from any location in the world. The DSR1161 works with the DSRIQ smart cable. The DSRIQ CAT 5 cabling provides connectivity from the DSR1161 to the server. With its CAT 5 design, the DSRIQ significantly reduces cable bulk in the rack and is well suited for high density installations.

With DSView, you can access all of your data center devices from a single screen, making complex network access and control remarkably easier. For added user security, Avocent's DSAuth user authentication software stores permissions, topology and per-device contact information for the DS Series. It also performs third party authentication during connection to the switch.
