The DS Series DSR2010 combines digital and analog technology into a single KVM switch for access the way you need it. The 16-port system offers the flexibility of multi-user, multi-location solutions with both local and IP access for all major server platforms and serial-based devices. The DSR2010 model contains one local port for access at the rack and two digital ports for IP access.

The DSR2010 works with Avocent's patented OSCAR GUI interface for rack level access and control and DSView for IP-based server management at the NOC or form any location in the world. The DSRIQ smart cable provides connectivity from the DSR2010 to the server. With its CAT 5 design, the DSRIQ significantly reduces cable bulk in the rack and is an ideal solution for high density IT environments.

The DS management software, which consists of the DSView client, DSAuth server, DSAdmin and DSWebview, is the cornerstone of the DS series. With DSView, you can access all of your data center devices using a standard IP connection. The DSWebview feature provides secure, browser-based access to virtually any data center device via Avocent's DS Series product suite. Avocent's DSView interface provides secure 'point-and-click' control to any connected device, using IP connections.

For added user security, Avocent's DSAuth user authentication software stores permissions, topology and per-device contact information for the DS Series. It also performs third party authentication during connection to the switch.
