Avocent HGA51G-DIR30 Directional Antenna

Extend wireless audio and video up to 1000 feet (305 m) line-of-sight with this optional directional antenna using the Emerge EWMS1000 wireless media streamer or the Emerge MPX1000 HD multipoint extender.

The Avocent Emerge HGA51G-DIR30 directional antennas work together with the EWMS1000 wireless media streamer or MPX1000 HD multipoint extender to provide line-of-sight extended distance capability when required by an installation. The Emerge HGA51G-DIR30 directional antenna works by focusing the energy of the antenna signal into an intensified unidirectional beam. In line-of-sight applications the directional antenna allows the EWMS1000 wireless media streamer receiver or MPX1000 HD multipoint extender receiver to be placed up to 1000 feet from the transmitter.

Optional Directional Antenna

The optional HGA51G-DIR30 directional antenna ships with two antennas, one antenna for the device transmitter, and a second antenna for the device receiver. The directional antennas work in the 802.11a band and provide frequency ranges of 5.150 GHz to 5.825 GHz. Applications requiring extended distance benefit from using the directional antenna as it allows the user to install a display system without running wires around a room, or incur the expense of having to open walls to run conduit.

The optional directional antenna, the EWMS1000 wireless media streamer, and the MPX1000 HD multipoint extender can be deployed in either a point-to-point (extension) or point-to-multipoint (broadcast) configuration.

Emerge EWMS1000 Wireless Media Streamer

The EWMS1000 wireless media streamer broadcasts standard definition, full-motion, streaming video from an analog video source to multiple display devices up to 1000 feet line-of-sight. It includes built-in support for multiple input/output formats including Component, S-Video, Composite Video, VGA computer video (640 x 480), RS-232 control, and stereo audio.

Emerge MPX1000 HD Multipoint Extender

The MPX1000 HD multipoint extender solution provides connectivity for professional audio and video applications that require moving high-definition quality content from one source to multiple destinations. High resolution VGA or HDMI/DVI computer graphics up to 1280 x 768 resolution, HD video including 720p, stereo audio, and control data are wirelessly transmitted to as many as eight wireless or wired receivers.
