SPC1620 Power Control Device

SPC Family requires no software to operate. However there is a GUI package available - DSView 3 Software. The DSView® 3 management software interface lets you easily associate server names with actual power outlet ports on the SPC power control device. DSView 3 software also allows grouping of dual-server power supplies as well as separating the power supplies on different power sources. This gives you true redundancy and control of dual-powered servers.

• Ease of Use. Available in horizontal and vertical mountable 16 outlet models. (Also available in 4 and 8-outlet models, with configurable port grouping and naming, multi-port commands and enhanced administration)
• On / Off Power Indicators. DSView 3 software lets you easily view the SPC devices power outlet on / off status without entering the server room / data center
• Power-up Sequencing. Avoids branch circuit overload due to inrush current on powering-up the SPC appliance
• Naming Associations. Users can create an association between a server name and specific SPC outlet port(s)
• Redundant Power Supply Configurations. Single connect and click power control of dual / multiple target devices that are powered from independent branch circuits / power sources
• Power Monitoring. Dynamically measures and reports total input current load and indicates on / off state for every port
• Security. In addition to port specific and command specific access control, the SPC power control device provides advanced user authentication and data encryption when combined with the Avocent CPS appliance
• Energy Efficient. Power-on sequencing eliminates inrush current overload, which lets you maximize the number of devices on a single circuit
• Click and Connect Access. When used with the Avocent DSView 3 software interface, the SPC device lets you access power to virtually any connected data center device
• Local and Remote Power Load Measurement. Lets you hot plug additional SPC power control devices without the risk of overloading the branch circuit
