Question
Answer
Hardware
What does 1x1x1 mean? It means the device connects to one target device (server or KVM switch), with one remote access connection over IP and one local KVM access point at the rack (server or KVM switch).
Do I lose any functionality if I replace the SwitchView® 1010 remote access device with the SwitchView 1020 remote access device? For an SMB user there is no useable functionality that has been lost with the exception of remote power control which is an enterprise-class function.
What do I do if I need enterprise-class functionality? The Avocent DSR®1024 KVM switch will help you meet the demands of using a remote access device in the enterprise environment. It offers additional enterprise functionality including remote power control, dialup modem access, DSView® 3 management software integration, and more.
