SwitchView SC8 DVI KVM Switch

Eight secure channels, dual-head DVI-I video. Designed specifically for secure environments.

The SwitchView SC8 DVI switch is the only KVM switch that is NIAP Common Criteria validated to EAL 4. The switch supports eight secure channels and dual DVI-I video connections. It provides the highest video resolution available in a secure KVM switch.

Secure computing environments often include users with multiple CPUs at their workstation. CPUs can be connected to networks of varying classification levels, often a mixture of secure and non-secure. The Avocent SwitchView SC is ideal for such an environment.

The switch also saves space because each CPU shares the same keyboard, monitor and mouse. DVI graphic support is provided for high end applications.

Features

  • NIAP Certification — The SwitchView SC switch is the only KVM switch validated to NIAP Common Criteria EAL 4 security requirements. Commercial products used by many U.S. government agencies are required to have an EAL 4 certificate.
  • Secure Design — The SwitchView SC 8-port switch features four separate channels so you can switch safely between classified and unclassified computers - all from one switch.
  • Controlled KVM Switching — Separate I/O processors for controlled KVM switching and access to CPUs connected to secure and non-secure networks.
  • Custom-Designed Firmware — Custom-designed, encrypted, internal firmware for extra protection.
  • Standard PS/2 Protocol — Standard PS/2 protocol is maintained to avoid the possibility of any external device detecting the presence of the SwitchView SC switch.
  • Buffer Clearance — Automatically clears the keyboard buffer immediately after data is transmitted through the switch, so no data is ever left in the switch.
  • Supports dual-head DVI-I video connections — Provides the highest video resolution available in a secure KVM switch. Video resolution of 2560x1600 @ 60hz is ideal for high-end graphical applications.
  • Computer Access — Securely access up to four attached servers using just one keyboard, monitor and mouse.
  • Desktop Management — Improves work efficiency and saves desktop space by eliminating redundant hardware and cables. The switch also doubles as a monitor stand with zero desktop footprint.
  • Performance — The SwitchView SC 8-port switch uses an internal power supply for optimal processing performance.
