| Page Command is the easy-to-use command line interface to PageR enterprise, allowing managers and users to send alert notifications for issues and events that cannot be monitored by even the most complete server and network monitoring applications (like PageR Enterprise, OpenView, Tivoli, Unicenter, others). These alert notifications can be set up to easily communicate event and status information that will enhance a manager's awareness of what is happening in the data center or anywhere across the network.
Written for users at all levels of experience, Page Command is an easy to set up and run application that allows people who are paged to know what has happened immediately when events occur, regardless of the time of day or where they may be at the time. Users are automatically and always kept fully informed if an event occurs that they have set up to receive an alert for. Once Page Command is installed, IT staff and other users can insert commands into system, server or device startup/shutdown routines, scripts, and even applications to automatically notify people when important events occur. Users can also send alphanumeric notifications from the command line any time they choose. |
