- PageR runs as a low overhead, background application or service on the Windows NT/2000/XP host to monitor or watch various system, server and network issues and devices for predefined conditions, events, and thresholds. When monitored objects go into an alarm state, PageR communicates through a modem or network connection to send full event and status information to the appropriate staff member pager, mobile phone, email, broadcast address, etc. Status information is displayed on the pager or mobile phone so that the individual can immediately see what has occurred.
- The PageR Activity Log shows virtually everything that PageR does, including starts, stops, scans, checks, who gets contacted, when and how. This listing changes dynamically as activities occur. Viewing this shows what PageR is doing. You can choose 1 of 4 levels of information, from none to in-depth.

- PageR maintains an online Status screen of all events that go into an alarm state and their present status since the last PageR scan. This display changes dynamically because new events are added when they occur and previous events are modified when they change status or are resolved. A quick review of the Status Window shows system managers what events are currently impacting or threatening the system, server or network. The Status screen further shows Run Statistics and an Alarm Summary so managers know cumulatively what has happened over a specified period of time. There are a variety of filters to allow display of just the information desired and sorting options to rank issues by type or severity on the computing environment.
- PageR offers immediate manual notification capabilities where system users can interactively send pager or mobile phone messages to people in the field. This can be a powerful tool for organizations that may need to reach outside staff, including non-systems personnel as in fields like medical care, outside sales, field service, undercover policing, delivery, and more.
- PageR provides easy to access and use windows to Microsoft's Event Log and Performance Monitor. By putting full, enhanced access to these utilities right on the PageR file menu or header, users have the information they need within easy reach as they make changes to PageR and its powerful monitoring capabilities.
