DESCRIPTION
- USE as a RS-232 Line Booster
- USE in Pairs as RS-232 Short Range Modems
- USE as a Terminal Booster With SSD-32
- Re-Phases Synchronous Clock and Data Signals
The TB-32 is a general purpose RS-232 signal driver that can be used for a variety of RS-232 synchronous or asynchronous applications. It incorporates CPS's exclusive Super Serial Driver (SSD) that can drive the RS-232 signals up to 1500' when used in conjunction with other CPS products that employ the same driver. See SSD-32.
It may be used in pairs similar to short range modems, but with 11 conductor cable, at distances of up to 2000+ feet. It can also be used as a stand-alone product in the middle of a synchronous or asynchronous RS-232 line to clean up and regenerate the appropriate RS-232 DCE and DTE signals.
In addition to signal regeneration, for synchronous applications, the TB-32 has a phasing buffer that will re-phase the clock and data signals as they pass through the unit. The loss of synchronization between the clock and data signals is the major factor contributing to cabling restrictions on higher speed concatenated RS-232 synchronous terminal networks.

- Asynchronous Point to Point
- Asynchronous Multi-Point
- Synchronous Point to Point
