Eclipse SAMS enables your administrators, engineers and applications to have secure remote access to managed devices, from a standard web browser, using IP or dial up connectivity. Users browse into SAMS and get authenticated; they are then presented with a list of equipment they are permitted to access; connection is made with one click. They have no need to know equipment passwords, telephone numbers or IP addresses; it is simple, secure, fast and very efficient. SAMS is the complete answer to the problem of secure administration on multi-site networks.

Eclipse SAMS features an easy to use Web interface that provides you with a simple one-click connection to remote equipment. A Windows Explorer style Admin Console enables you to perform all system configuration; users, managed devices or connectivity can be added, amended or deleted very quickly and efficiently. Managed devices can be organised on a site, customer or geographical basis. You can very easily group users so that privileges can be granted and amended. In the event that a technician or engineer leaves, it is only necessary to delete a single user account, as they are unaware of any other details.
Eclipse SAMS is simple to use and does not require a heavy investment in training. It will greatly reduce the administration workload at your management center, enhance security, increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Connectivity Made Easy
Eclipse SAMS can provide flexible access using IP based networks, VPN or dial-up connections. Eclipse SAMS supports the following protocols for connection to your managed device:

- Raw TCP
- SSH
- Telnet
Company firewalls or one of our intelligent Tracker units can be used to ensure that access is only available from the SAMS server.
A flexible and easy to use scripting language enables you to integrate virtually any type of remote equipment. Initialization and log-off scripts can be included as well as the ability to automatically navigate multiple equipment levels and passwords in a single connection session. A user has no visibility of the scripts; they simply click and get connected.

SAMS enables you to control access and provide a complete audit trail of all activity.
Authentication, username/password combinations grant users privileged access to remote equipment.
Authorization can be granted on a permanent, temporary or one-time basis. You can control the sites and equipment that a user can view. Remote, local and customised privileges can be configured.
Audit, the administration log contains information regarding all configuration changes that have been made to the system. The connection log details all activity between users and remote systems. You thus have a full system audit available for management and traceability purposes.
Simple Integration
To enable authenticated third party applications to integrate seamlessly with SAMS, an Applications Programing Interface is available. This API allows DTT development partners to use the access capability of SAMS and to share information in its database, but does not expose any password or connection details.
System Requirements
SAMS requires a Windows operating system and a SQL database. The hardware specification will depend on the system size. The SQL Server, Web Server and Connection Manager can be run on the same machine or split over multiple hosts. A dual processor will be beneficial if SQL, Web Server and Connection Manager are all running on one machine.
