IMPORTANT PRODUCT NOTE
The POWERVAR GPI Series 1 power conditioner uses the POWERVAR GPI Series B components and encloses them in a chassis for those customers who wish to take advantage of the product’s voltage conversion function in a product with plug and receptacle capability. The GPI Series 1 power conditioner uses a UL Recognized Component that has also been tested and found to meet the relevant requirements of medical standard UL2601 (IEC60601). It is not UL or cUL listed. The GPI Series 1 power conditioner has an input voltage that is programmable via a multi-terminal strip using jumper settings. One of four input voltages may be selected. The unit is equipped with an input circuit breaker and input power cord of the appropriate rating for the input voltage that was specified when the unit was ordered.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: If the input voltage of the GPI Series 1 is changed in the field, it may be necessary, in order to maintain safety, to also change the input circuit breaker and input power cord. Please consult POWERVAR Product Engineering for assistance in obtaining the correct circuit breaker and input power cord to match the selected input voltage. Failure to strictly observe this safety notice may result in product malfunction, product damage, system damage, and/or fire.

Noise Rejection-Isolation: With unit under power and an ANSI/IEEE C62.41Cat. A pulse applied either normal or common mode at the input, the noise output voltage will be less than 10V normal mode and less than 0.5V common mode in all four quadrants (CM-NM, NM-NM, CM-CM, NMCM).
Surge Voltage withstand Capability: Tested under power to ANSI/IEEE C62.41 Cat. A & B (formerly IEEE587-1980). Cat. A - 6000V @ 200 amps, 0.5 µsec risetime, 100 kHZ decay, Cat. B - 6000V @ 500 amps, 0.5 µsec risetime, 100 kHZ decay.
