With
SurfSafe, you can access important UPS information from anywhere
in the world. When you bring up SurfSafe in your browser,
you have access to a lot of information in one screen. Immediately,
you know everything is OK because the icons in the "Station"
section are green and the "Alarms" section is blank.
You can choose different stations by scrolling through the
list to find the machine you are interested in and clicking
on it. Important details are then displayed in the "Description"
section for the selected station.
When
something goes wrong, SurfSafe will keep you informed. When
SurfSafe finds a problem, the station icon changes color and
alarm buttons appear in the "Alarms" section. Click
on the "Next" button and SurfSafe selects the first
station with a problem. Notice that jazz's status is "UPS
is ON Battery" (the power has failed and the UPS is supplying
backup power to the machine) and, unless power is restored,
jazz will shut down in 12 minutes. Clicking on the "Next"
button again will allow you to see the next machine with an
alarm.
