Powerware TVSS Products

Surge protection devices are needed to protect sensitive telecommunications, HVAC, and other electrical and electronic equipment.

This Powerware TVSS product line consists of two products: Powerware PVL and Powerware PXL.

The Powerware PVL is our standard surge protective device (SPD) that combines surge suppression components and EMI/RFI filtering to provide effective protection for sensitive electronic loads. The Powerware PVL product is available in 50, 80, 100, 120, 160, and 200 kA per phase.

The Powerware PXL offers improved quality and reliability including enhanced monitoring capabilities and a new patent pending technology - our Thermo-Dynamic Fusing™ System - which provides a safer surge protective device in a smaller package. It can be purchased in 100, 120, 160, 200, 250, 300, 400, and 500 kA per phase sizes.

Industrial/Commercial Surge Protection (SPD Series) Eaton’s SPD series surge protective devices are the latest and most advanced UL 1449 3rd Edition certified surge protectors. Units are available integrated within Eaton electrical assemblies, including panelboards, switchboards, motor control centers, switchgear and bus plugs. Application of SPD Series units throughout a facility will ensure that equipment is protected with the safest and most reliable surge protective devices available.
Industrial/Commerial Surge Protection (CPS Series) Eaton's Clipper Power Systems (CPS), Visor series, is a leading-edge surge suppression system designed to be fully integrated on new panels or retrofitted to existing panels. The Visor offers a wide variety of surge current ratings, monitoring features, and enclosure options and is a safe, smart and compact surge protective device (SPD).
Light Commercial Surge Protection (CVL Series) The Clipper VL is a commercial grade and light industrial surge protection device (SPD) that combines surge suppression components and EMI/RFI filtering to provide effective protection for sensitive electronic loads. It is designed to prevent downtime and equipment damage caused by electrical surges.
OEM and Panel Mount Surge (CVX Series) Series Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) provide high quality transient voltage surge suppression for light industrial, commercial and OEM applications. The CVX series is the industries first UL1449 third edition listed product to achieve an industry best 20,000 amp nominal discharge current. The CVX line is available in configurations and current capacities of 50 or 100 kA per phase.
