Power Input
  • Power cable with plug is attached to unit through
    the rear panel cable grip
  • Power cable is UL type SO, SOOW or SJT
  • NEMA style power input plug is attached
Overload Circuit Protection
  • Electromagnetic circuit breakers to prevent
temperature from affecting the trip point
  • Long time delay curve to prevent nuisance tripping
from power supply or motor start up surges
  • Rated for use as a switch for off/on control
  • Easily reset after an overload or fault condition is
    detected
  • Circuit breaker trip guards are provided to prevent
    accidental tripping
  • UL listed branch circuit breakers are provided
where required by UL 60950 standards.
Power Outlets
  • NEMA style receptacles, V42 has (12) and V70 has
    (24)
  • IEC version receptacles see Option 1
  • Straight blade or twistlock are optional
Power Filtering (Optional)
  • EMI/RFI filtering provides protection from both
    electro-mechanical and radio frequency
    interference
  • Filtering is both Common Mode (Line to Ground)
and Differential Mode (Line to Line)
Spike/Surge Supression (TVSS)
  • Transient voltage surge suppression prevents
    damage due to voltage fluctuations.
  • Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV’s) are utilized line to
    line (or neutral)
  • MOV’s provide long life protection while
withstanding large transients with little degradation
Current Monitoring (Optional)
  • Front panel display shows current draw of
    connected equipment
  • Two digit display shows current from 0-30 amps
    with +/- 1 amp accuracy
  • Monitor will help to prevent system overload and
    ease installation
Indicator Light
  • One LED indicator light per circuit breaker
  • Light illuminates when the circuit breaker is in the
on position and power is present at the input

Option 1: Chassis Size

Choose either 42” tall or 70” tall. Both package styles are 2” wide by 2” deep. The 42” option is 38” tall without the mounting bracket attached and the 70” option is 66” tall without the mounting bracket attached. The 42” tall option has (12) NEMA style receptacles. The 42” AB version has (12) C13 and (1) C19 outlets, the F3 version has (16) C13 outlets and the F4 version has (8) C13 and (2) C19 outlets. The 70” tall option has (24) NEMA style receptacles. The 70” AB version has (28) C13 and (1) C19 outlets. The 70” F3 version has (32) C13 outlets and the F4 version has (24) C13 and (2) IEC C19 outlets.

Option 2: Circuit Breaker

Choose either Circuit Breaker or no Circuit Breaker. A Circuit breaker is required in 30A input versions.
B=Circuit Breaker, N=No Circuit Breaker.

Option 4: EMI/RFI Filtering

Power filtering will reduce the effects of electro magnetic or radio frequency interference. These types of “noise” can be introduced from many sources, inside or outside your facility. The filtering is bi-directional, so it helps prevent emissions from connected equipment. Select “F” in this option to include EMI/RFI Filtering. Filtering is not available in units with the current meter option.

COMMON MODE INSERTION LOSS
(Line to Ground in 50ohm circuit)
Current Rating Mhz. .15 .50 1.0 5.0 10.0 30.0
20A dB. 6 19 28 42 45 50

COMMON MODE INSERTION LOSS
(Line to Ground in 50ohm circuit)
Current Rating Mhz. .15 .50 1.0 5.0 10.0 30.0
20A dB. 6 6 30 50 30 30

Option 5: Receptacle Type

Choose either straight blade or twist lock style receptacles. See the table in Option 1 for a view of the available receptacles. The receptacles are referred to by their NEMA designation number.

Option 6: Plug Type

Choose either straight blade or twist lock style plug. See the table in Option 1 for a view of the available plug styles. The plug is referred to by the NEMA designation number. Verify you have the correct type of mating receptacle available at your facility. Plug types sometimes limit the available voltage and current options.

Option 7: Current Meter

This unit is available with or without a front panel digital current reference meter. This two-segment current reference meter will display the current value of the connected load. (The meter is an AC averaging meter.) This allows you to properly load your Power Distribution Unit to avoid an overload situation. This can also be used for monitoring to detect a fault before it occurs. The display shows two digits with no decimal place. The meter is accurate to +/- 1 amp with 1 amp resolution. The current meter option is not available on the following versions: G1 and J1 or units with the Filtering option.

Option 8: Power Cable Length

The power distribution unit has either SO, SOOW or SJT type power cable. The length can be specified as either 9 feet or 15 feet. The maximum length allowed by UL standards for an attached power cable is 15 feet. For permanent installations exceeding 15 feet, a licensed electrician should install a permanent circuit. Extension cords should only be used for temporary installations. The AB version comes with an IEC C20 power inlet. The power cable must be ordered separately for this version.
